| Abstract: | We investigate the physical properties of clusters of magnetic flux tubes in the solar photosphere by 2D numerical simulations. In particular we study the importance of filling factor effects in the interpretation of CLV of facular contrast measurements. The results we obtain are also important for the interpretation of polarimetric measurements. |
