Title: Spectropolarimetry of Evershed clouds and MMFs

Form: talk
Abstract: Time series of simultaneous spectropolarimetric observations in the visible and the infrared have been taken with POLIS and TIP working at the German VTT of Observatorio del Teide. The morphological and polarimetric properties of Evershed clouds have been studied in sunspot penumbrae, and their vector magnetic properties have been inferred from complex inversions. A clear link between Evershed clouds and one type of moving magnetic features (MMFs) has been traced while another family of MMFs appears to come from the so-called spines, regions where the Evershed flow is much less intense.
