Title: Ca~{\sc{ii}}~K polarization as chromospheric temperature and magnetic field sensor
Authors: R. Holzreuter, J.O. Stenflo
Form: talk
Abstract: The linear scattering polarization of Ca~{\sc{ii}}~K is a very sensitive tool to determine the temperature profile in the high photosphere and low chromosphere. We present the spatial variation at several heliocentric positions and different wavelengths. We make use of the inner spectral part of the line to discuss the influence of magnetic fields and anisotropic illumination in the low and mid chromosphere.
