| Abstract: | In this work we present an analysis of the PDF distribution of the magnetic field strength in quiet sun regions. The study is based on the results obtained with an inversion code applied to the Mn~{\sc{i}} profiles at 553 nm. We also analyze the magnetic properties of the granular and intergranular regions. Our results show that the magnetic strength is predominantly weak in the quiet sun regions (with field intensities of some hundreds of Gauss). However with an inspection of the intranet field, we have also found that the presence of strong magnetic concentrations is a characteristic feature of the quiet sun that shows mixed areas of strong and weak field regimes. |
