Title: Stereoscopic magnetography at the Dunn Solar Telescope
Authors: C.E. DeForest, D.A. Lamb, T. Rimmele
Form: talk
Abstract: We present results from the first stereoscopic magnetograph observations at the Dunn Solar Telescope using dedicated optics, in June 2007. A proof-of-concept measurement in 2003 demonstrated the technique (DeForest et al. 2004), but used inefficient general-purpose optics. The current observation with SHAZAM-P (SHAZAM Prototype) uses a better optimized optical train, and is calculated to be capable of producing a diffraction-limited Stokes $V$ magnetogram with 10 Gauss sensitivity in 2 seconds; SHAZAM, the follow-on instrument, will produce a similar magnetogram every 0.1 seconds.
