Title: The Cr~{\sc{i}} 520.6 nm triplet at the solar limb
Authors: L. Merenda, R. Manso Sainz
Form: poster
Abstract: The spectropolarimetric observations of the Cr~{\sc{i}} 520.6 triplet at the solar limb show very interesting features in $Q/I$ (Gandorfer 2003): a general interference pattern with noticeable peaks in the core of the spectral lines. Moreover, the whole pattern spans just 3~{\AA} and can be observed simultaneously with just one camera. We present a first theoretical model aimed to exploit the potentiality of this multiplet for the detection and measurement of magnetic fields. In particular, it is interesting to compare the general interference pattern with the polarization signal in the lines cores.
