| Abstract: | We report on linear polarization signals detected on the 6301/6302 lines of iron. We show that this polarization pattern is not due to the Zeeman effect but to scattering in the upper solar atmosphere. We discuss their interest for the diagnostic of weak fields in the quiet sun. |
